Offei Reinvents Old School West African Pop Music in New Single ‘Santorini’

Offei is a new generation singer, songwriter and composer born and raised in the capital of Ghana, Accra. Offei started off as a rapper and with his infectious flows, he won many and gathered a strong following.

As a creative being he looked at exploring other components of his talent, from which he discovered the art of singing and piecing melodies together to create beautiful patterns that make music.

Over the years, Offei has released various singles including ‘Humanbeing’ featuring Kwesi Arthur and other collaborations which received massive air plays.

Not so long ago, Offei signed up a management deal with DWoods Productions to propel him for greater heights and ‘Santorini’ is officially their first masterpiece.

‘Santorini’ is a well composed song with varied melodies and drum patterns which will only get you to tap the repeat button.

‘Santorini’ contain elements of old school West African music which includes Highlife from Ghana, Makossa from Cameroon and more. Offei and Kayso (producer/beat maker) embodied this piece with other western melodies to give it a global appeal. With beautiful guitar and piano melodies rolling in the ambience and transitional parts of the song, you can really tell the level of intelligence these creators posses in making Afro music.

Are you going on a trip with ‘bae’ or parting on a vacation? Just put this on repeat and enjoy this great body of work.
