Saint Lucia – A great visa-free vacation choice for all Ghanaians

Saint Lucia is one of the 65 countries every Ghanaian can travel to without a visa, in this post we look at some of the beautiful places in Saint Lucia and some of the cultures they have there.


Saint Lucia is an island found in the Eastern part of the Caribbean. This nation is heavily influenced by African, French and English heritage, English is the official language spoken in St Lucia but also Kreole which can be best described as French patois is the most influential language within the natives.

Catholics are the most predominant on this island but also there are no restrictions on any form of worship or belief.

Who is Saint Lucia’s President?

Allen Michael Chastanet is a Saint Lucian businessman and politician who has been Prime Minister of Saint Lucia since June 2016.

With per capita income estimated at approximately US$4,000 in 1998, the island is one of the more prosperous in the Eastern Caribbean.

Places to visit in Saint Lucia

  1. Rodney Bay

    Rodney Bay is a bay located in the Gros Islet quarter on the island of Saint Lucia. Gros Islet is one of the ten quarters on the island. It can be found on the northwestern coast of the island above the Castries quarter, where the capital of St. Lucia is, and the Dauphin quarter. St. Lucia is a small island in North America located in the Caribbean Sea and it is the largest of the Caribbean’s Windward Islands.
  2. Pigeon Island

    Pigeon Island is a 44-acre islet located in Gros Islet in the northern region of Saint Lucia. Once isolated from the country in the Caribbean Sea, the island was artificially joined to the western coast of mainland in 1972 by a man-made causeway built from dirt excavated to form the Rodney Bay Marina. Composed of two peaks the island is a historic site with numerous forts such as an 18th-century British fort and Fort Rodney both used by the British to spy on French Ships from neighbouring Martinique.
  3. Marigot Bay



    Marigot Bay is located on the western coast of the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia, 3.75 miles southwest from Castries and a short distance from the Saint Lucian National Marine Reserve. It is surrounded on three sides by steep, forested hills. The inland portion of the bay forms a hurricane hole, used to shelter boats from hurricanes. Marigot Bay is a historic landmark, having been the site of a number of battles between the French and British navies.

These are few of the numerous beautiful vacation spots in Saint Lucia, with a Ghanaian passport, you can visit this island with no visa issues.
