From the streets of Accra to London and NYC, there are so many musicians who either grew up in Ghana or in the diaspora with Ghanaian parents. There are innumerable Ghanaian musicians doing amazingly well with their careers. Most of these musicians are not largely recognised or celebrated in Ghana compared to overseas. However, most of these musicians support various projects in Ghana.

- Amaarae
Ama Serwah Genfi who is known widely as Amaarae, is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, producer, and engineer.
The young gifted artist commenced her career with dishing out music from collaborations with local artists in Ghana. She later released a 6-track EP “Passion Fruit Summers” in 2017. In 2020 Amaarae released the song “Sad Girlz Luv Money” featuring Moliy on her debut album “The Angel You Don’t Know“. In 2021 the song was remixed with a feature from Kali Uchis which then went on to become a viral hit on social media and streaming platforms, charting globally. - NANA KWABENA

From producing the certified platinum single “Classic Man” for Jidenna, The Ghanaian-American record producer, musician, sound engineer and DJ Nana Kwabena Tuffuor better known by his stage name NANA KWABENA has also co produced for John Legend, Janelle Monae, Kanye West, Quavo, Mr Eazi and more. In December 2021, NANA KWABENA played at a show in Ghana with the Ghanaian-British producer Juls. - Vic Mensa
Victor Kwesi Mensah, known professionally as Vic Mensa, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and activist of Ghanaian descent.
In 2015, Vic Mensa received a nomination for Best Rap Song at the 58th Grammy Awards as a songwriter for co-writing Kanye West’s single “All Day”. Vic has done so many projects back in Ghana including featuring on a record with Ghana’s rap icon Sarkodie and Stonebwoy. - Juls
Julian Nicco-Annan known by his stage name Juls, is a British-Ghanaian record producer, dj and musician. In early 2010, Juls began to produce music casually.
His first break occurred once he produced a song for Show Dem Camp entitled “Feel Alright” in 2012, and he began to DJ while finishing his studies in Surrey in 2013. Juls went on to work on projects with Mr Eazi which later did magic for Afrobeats in the diaspora. - Stormzy
Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., known professionally as Stormzy, is an English rapper with a Ghanaian descent.
In 2014, he gained attention on the UK underground music scene through his Wicked Skengman series of freestyles over classic grime beats. Stormzy grew up with his Ghanaian mother in the UK. From a young age, Stormzy developed interest in rap music and he’s only gotten better at it overtime.
